CD Projekt RED‘s co-CEO, Michal Nowakowski, has clarified expectations for the upcoming event, stating that no new content will be revealed this year. Although the team is appreciative of their nomination and the support from fans, Nowakowski took to X to express that no announcements are planned for this time.
While this may be disheartening to some, it aligns with previous communications from the studio. Back in March 2025, CD Projekt RED confirmed the game’s release wouldn’t occur before 2027, indicating a substantial wait until we see any teasers, trailers, or gameplay previews. Nowakowski remained consistent during a recent Q&A on the company’s third-quarter financial report, stating “The only thing we can say is that the game will not be released in 2026.”
This suggests fans should focus on The Game Awards 20262 for possible updates. Meanwhile, excitement isn’t entirely absent from the upcoming awards, as several game studios have signaled they are gearing up to debut their latest projects at the event.
